Sequence plan – the digital overview of the day’s production

In AROLINK®, each production worker has their own digital sequence plan – a task and sequence plan that shows exactly which orders to produce and in what order.

The sequence plan acts as a digital to-do list where all relevant information about the day’s production is gathered in one place: order date, line, item number, item name, status, quantity and a number of other details. This provides both overview and peace of mind and minimizes errors and misunderstandings.

Personal filtering

Employees only see the orders that are relevant to their line and department. This means no need to search through long lists or worry about irrelevant orders.

Flexible planning

The sequence plan provides the ability to break down large orders into smaller orders and distribute them across multiple production lines and departments – with full traceability so the day can be organized in the most optimal way.

Direct exit to features

From the sequence plan, you can easily open batch forms, start and stop production, view registrations and much more. This makes it easy to navigate and act directly in the system.

Supports documentation

Each line is connected to process and sequence orders as well as data such as weight, deviations and notes. This creates a complete traceable data foundation for audits, troubleshooting and improvements.

Real-time status updates

Orders change status automatically as production progresses – for example, from “Ready” to “Active” and then to “Finished”. This provides full transparency and minimizes the risk of errors and bottlenecks.

Preparing for upcoming tasks

The sequence plan forms the basis for yield and consumption reports, traceability analysis and OEE. It reflects the planned sequence and therefore becomes a valuable reference point in both daily operations and strategic optimization.

Why is the sequence plan important for the factory?

The sequence plan is an integral part of the AROLINK® platform and plays a central role in the overall data flow. It is not a standalone tool, but is closely linked to all other functions – from inventory management to quality control and reporting.

In a busy production environment, it’s crucial that employees keep track of the sequence, timing and requirements of each order. The sequence plan does just that by making the day’s tasks available in a view that is tailored to both line and role. This means fewer questions, fewer errors and a better flow.

At the same time, the sequence plan supports both daily operations and management’s need for traceability, documentation and decision-making. It acts as a link between planning and execution and gives the factory the control, flexibility and transparency needed to run modern production with high quality.
