Internal flow labels in AROLINK®
Flow labels are labels that are automatically generated and printed at key stages of production, e.g. after weighing, packing or internal movement. They are used internally in the factory to identify and track goods, batches and components throughout production.
Each flow label acts as a delivery note and traceability key: it contains e.g. weight, batch number and status, and can be scanned to open the next process in AROLINK®. This ensures that the right goods are used at the right time and that all steps are documented.
Automatic flow labeling
Labels are printed automatically when the product passes a defined point in production.
Always up-to-date data
Labels are pulled directly from AROLINK® with data from scales, scanners and process points.
Handles many variants
Even with small batches and frequent changes, labels are automatically adapted.
Integration with printers
Flow labeling can be connected to your existing printers and equipment.
Secure traceability
Labels link directly to batch and process data for full documentation.
Design of labels
The factory can design the labels themselves with relevant data and appearance.
How flow labeling works in practice
For example, when an operator weighs an ingredient on a scale, the weight is automatically transferred to AROLINK®. Here, a label with batch information and actual weight is generated, printed and attached. At the next step, such as mixing, the label is scanned and data is retrieved directly from the system. This eliminates manual errors and creates a digital and documented flow.
If the product is part of multiple steps, the label follows the entire chain. The label can be updated or a new one can be generated when the product changes shape, quantity or status – for example after packing, approval or moving.
What does a flow label contain?
-
Batch number and product name
-
Actual weight or volume
-
Date and time of registration
-
QR or barcode to scan in the next step
-
Status, shelf life or process step information (optional)
-
Any customer-specific fields (e.g. internal comment, location, operator ID)
Integrations
Design and management
The labels are designed in e.g. Codesoft and connected to AROLINK® so they are easy to maintain and integrate into the production flow.
Tight coupling to other functions
Flow labels are integrated with inventory management, batch registration, sequence plan and checkpoints.
Automatic printing
AROLINK® can automatically print labels when specific parameters and conditions are met, for example when a scale registers a given quantity.
Supports positive release
In sensitive processes, labels can be combined with positive release so that only approved goods are allowed to move forward.
